Life On A Bike

Two years after cycling across America, I did it again, bigger. The plan: leave England by bike, ride down through Europe to catch a flight out of Lisbon, cross the United States a second time on a different route, then keep going to New Zealand and finish in Australia.

It took a little over eight months in the saddle: England, Belgium, France, Spain and Portugal, a second coast-to-coast of the US, this time up through Appalachia and the Northern Tier, both islands of New Zealand, and a run down through Western Australia to close it out. Rather than a post a day, I wrote one every few days, whenever there was a proper stretch of riding or a decent story behind me. I’ve kept the real comments people left along the way, preserved here exactly as they were.
